About Us
The agency, originally founded by E. J. Christmas in 1910, is one of Lenawee County’s oldest established businesses. Tom Bird (Bird Agency) purchased the business in 1978. In 1991, the Lenawee Insurance Agency owned by Jim Malarney and Jack Dilyard, merged with Tom’s Agency to form the Lenawee-Christmas Insurance Center, Inc.
Current owners are Tim Bays and Craig Dilyard. They take great pride in seeing that agency continues to provide customers with the best insurance value and service available, while maintaining the highest ethical standards and credibility with our clients.
We are an Independent Insurance Agency which means we work for you, our customer, and not for an insurance company. We represent several different companies allowing us to focus on providing you with the right coverage to meet your needs.
Our office includes state-of-the-art computer system for record keeping and in house ratings for instant rate comparisons. We are also online with most of our companies, allowing us to communicate and transact policy changes electronically. This enhances the speed, quality and effectiveness of our service to you, our valued customer.
